The hotel TSILAOSA*** is located in the heart of Cilaos village.
Nestled at the foot of the Piton des Neiges which reaches up to 3069m, the
village retains the authentic charm of the Creole spirit. Surrounded by the
sky and the stars, far from the infernal pace and rhythm, we find ourselves
in a little corner of paradise.

This charming hotel of Creole architecture completes the style with a
covering of shingles and frieze made with Reunionese wood

In keeping with the Creole traditions, are the choices of furniture and
materials, hand made by local craftsmen who perpetuate their ancestral
traditions, and the decoration with fabrics of Indian inspiration.
Within the cosy rooms the bathrooms combine modern design with Creole décor.


The old beams of this family house have been used in the design of the hotel
and tearooms. The fireplace, around which takes place daily tasting of wine
made by the owner of the TSILAOSA, comes from a traditional sugar cane
distillery saved from the demolition of an old sugar factory.

Within the elegance of the tearooms which are open all day, guests will
appreciate local products and enjoy teas from around the world from our
selection « Palais des Thes ». Visitors may also like to try our delicious
jam and home made cakes

In « La boutique des Traditions et des Saveurs », part of the salon de the,
we offer jams and sugar as well as jellies made with fruit from l'Echo
region. The fragrances and scents of Reunion are embodied in our eau de
toilettes, our soap, and our bath salts of essential locally oils manufactured



Our cellar, recently opened, offers a selection of wines from the Chais de
Cilaos, as well as white, red and rose wine from the Domaine de l'Echo.

The clientele will appreciate the artistic ambiance established by the
owner Suzanne Dijoux. By redesigning the interior of the Salon de the
and the reception, an authentic art gallery has been created, which promotes
Reunion artists throughout the year, and enables one to contemplate
sculptures, pictures and tapestries..

In the spirit of wellbeing and the partnership with the Establishment
thermal de Cilaos, the hotel encourages guest to indulge in a hyro- bath.

For those more sporting, the Cirque de Cilaos has much to offer with world
class hiking, cannyoning, mountain biking…

To venture further into the heart of the cirque, Mr Dijoux welcomes guests
to l'Echo, a wine growing area. They can experience the workings of the
vineyard, which has recently received the classification of "vin de pays",
from the first vines bought by the poor white settlers through to present
day. Guests may also be abble to witness the traditional harvest of the
"lentille", a local speciality.
